Collage in Real Time - NYC street artist

Here's a short video of Poster Boy, an NYC street artist who rearranges subway ads to create collage pieces. Very cool. Although the message of a lot of his work may be a little harsh for what we're doing, the aesthetic could totally apply. (Beachland posters perhaps?)

The Waterloo Walls Project is currently looking for sponsors! It's true that money doesn't buy happiness but it does buy paint, and bottles of water, and snacks, and ad space, and all of the other little things needed to create public art.

Without the help of sponsors... well... we wouldn't be able to pull this off. Since this is a community driven project we're turning to you for help. There are many ways you can help us raise funds for this amazing project.

The Waterloo Walls project will initiate and organize the creation of public art on the street. There are at leas eight potential mural opportunities as proposed in the streetscape plan. Although the implementation of most of the streetscape will have to wait for months, if not years, these murals can be done relatively easily and cheaply.

This project is an effort to kick off the restoration of the street by declaring these walls as public canvases that will express the voice of the community. This goal will be achieved by organizing a set of tools, guidelines, and incentives for the creation of public art.
